A/Prof. Colin Chan in Mongolia

Mongolia is not on most people’s travel itineraries but A/Prof. Colin Chan had a very special purpose in visiting there recently. As the Convenor of the 2nd Satellite meeting of the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology, A/Prof. Chan’s role was to organize 12 international speakers from Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, China, Hong Kong and South Korea to present lectures to the Mongolian Ophthalmological Society.

The Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology is an scientific and educational organization with membership covering 40% of the world’s eye surgeons. The Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO) is committed to promoting the science and art of ophthalmology among all people and nations of the region. A/Prof. Chan is a Faculty member, on the Standing Congress committee and has been an invited speaker/chair for every APAO Congress since 2008.
