Itch springs eternal

It's the middle of winter right now but Spring will be here before we know it.. warm weather, more sunlight, blossoming flowers... and itchy eyes.

For 25% of the population, allergies is part of their lives. Allergic itchy eyes can be a mild bother to outright disabling as some of you may know. Bit hard to work with your eyes constantly streaming and itching... and you know rubbing it will only make it worse even though it feels so so good at the time.

If you don't want to be a hermit this spring, there are some easy ways to control your allergic eye symptoms. Regular artificial tears can help flush out those allergens to minimise time in contact with your eye. A cold compress can also help relieve that itch. Omega 3 supplements like flaxseed oil, fish oil or krill oil may also help as they can bolster your tear layer thickness and act as a natural anti-inflammatory. Sounds basic but often best to start with the simple things... :)
